Welcome to the family tree of the Kaa family of New Zealand.  In these pages, members of the family and visitors alike can have access to information about family members they know and those they may not. The Kaa Family have had a brief but influential part in modern Maori history, and it is the aim of this website to preserve that history.  It is a work in progress, so I am appealing to all members of the Kaa family in New Zealand and throughout the world to submit any information that would make this a valuable resource or generations to come. - Shalom Kaa. How To Use This Site

Firstly, take a look at the Whakapapa page and see where you fit into the family tree.  The initial Whakapapa page lists generations starting from Brannigan Carr and Matewa Tangaere down to the third generations. From there, click on any members of the third generations to reveal continuing generations (some may not be available at this stage). You may also find your name or another listed in the Profiles section of the site.  Completed profiles include extended information about that person (where available).

Huka O Te Rangi: The Other Kaa Family

Throughout the development of this site, I have had several e-mails from people who have the last name Kaa, descendants of the above named ancestor, but with no information beyond him.  I am making it my endeavour to find out more information about this man and hopefully provide some history for this whanau.  Click here for what we know thus far and to see if you can help.
